Huntin' Eggs & Hittin' Pinatas!

The day before Easter we were invited to an Easter egg hunt at the lake.  We stopped that morning and bought about 2 doz eggs that were dyed and filled with confetti or flour at a roadside stand.  Jimmy was enthralled.  Only he thought it was food.  He even took his pacifier out in anticipation.  Poor baby, he thought we were being mean and starving him at the same time.

At the lake he played on the playground for a little bit while all the eggs were being laid out.  "Playing" mostly meant throwing the sand in the air.  He was covered in a just a few minutes.  After a giant ant fell out of the tree I was sitting under and into my shirt play time was over.

"Playing" aka throwing sand

This was his first egg hunt and he did a great job with Daddy's help.  Once he figured out he was supposed to pick them up and put them in the bag he was on a roll!  I think by the end he had about 20 eggs.

After collecting all of them he had a great time crunching them and stomping on them and pouring out all of the confetti.  Another little girl "helped" him crunch his so he probably only crunched about 10 but then they had fun playing in all the confetti on the ground so it wasn't a loss.

Shortly after the egg crunching lost its sparkle a big pinata was hung and Jimmy was the first to get to hit it.  No hesitation - he went right for it like a pro!  He didn't break it but it wasn't for lack of enthusiasm.  Check him out!
