New Big Brother

He's a big brother!  He came home from Grannie and Grandpa's house the day after Joey was born and somehow overnight he'd transformed into a big boy.  He even looked different to me.

He didn't really know what to make of this little baby that had come to stay at his house.  He mostly ignored him the first week but didn't seem to be jealous at all.

The second week, this week, he's been a lot more interested in what's going on with the baby.  He gets concerned if Joey's crying and no one seems to be doing anything about it and tries to shove the pacifier in his mouth.

He's been giving him lots of knuckles and lots of kisses and just generally being really sweet to him.  Although last night he came and "helped" me burp Joey - which I think was just an excuse to pound on him.

Today Joey had a blow-out and ended up getting his first real bath.  I thought this picture summed up Jimmy as a big brother perfectly at this stage!!

Video - May 2012

It's been awhile so I'm posting a video.  We were "playing" in the front seat of the truck while Daddy was putting some weed killer out.  It's a choppy video but still cute.

10 Bits o'Jimmy Fun

1.  He has no idea he's about to be a big brother.

2.  His poopy diapers rival the rainbow.

3.  He's not even 2 and his feet stink worse than most mens!

4.  He's got the cutest, chubby little fingers.

5.  He will laugh even when he doesn't know what he's laughing about.

6.  He LOVES his daddy.  Here he is waiting, waiting, waiting patiently for his daddy to say its safe to come outside (daddy was weed eating).

7.  He's already such a big helper.  He loves to help me put the wet clothes from the washer into the dryer.  We make quite the team!

8.  Even with his wild MacGyver hair he's still looking quite grown up these days.  These days are gone:

9.  When he eats he always needs a bite in his mouth and a backup in each hand.

10.  He smiles sweetly but refuses to say "Please" or "Por Favor".
